Teenagers who watch three or more hours of TV a day may be at risk of developing learning difficulties. This was revealed in a report from the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.

The study detailed an analysis of 678 families with children. The kids and their parents were questioned about TV viewing and school problems. 33% of fourteen year olds repotred watching 3 or more hours of TV a day. These kids were at a higher risk for attention difficulties, failure to complete homework, dislike of school and failure to get good grades. These children were also more likely to drop out of high school and many of them did not persue higher education.

Researchers suggest thet parents and teachrs identify kids at risk and encourage them to spend fewer hours in front of the TV.
