When Overeating Starts Early

When Overeating Starts EarlyHow early does overeating really start? That’s the provocative question raised by restaurant critic Frank Bruni in this week’s New York Times magazine.

The article, adapted from Frank’s soon to be published memoir, “Born Round: The Secret History of a Full-Time Eater,” tells the poignant (and somewhat heartbreaking) story of a young boy who can’t seem to get enough food.

Interestingly, Frank explains how he, at a young age, began to adopt some of the behaviors familiar to any adult self-conscious about weight  hiding behind others in photos and wrapping himself in a towel at the pool.
